34.044 message. Wiper blade stuck just under the printhead drip area. installed according to instructions, noted slight skewed but fixed that, I think. This is fast little printer. But pain to fix. Printer plugged into wall outlet.

printer starts, error code for wiper blade jammed shows during warm up.
aligned all parts to home position. wiper blade mechanism want to move up, but becomes jammed just under the print head. tilted printhead manually, with no change. wiper blade initial problem. there were streaks on the left...
we had problems re-installing the left ribbon cable.
however before we removed the printhead to clean the crayon marks off, we were able to generate a few test pages, with black not showing well.
above error code is now on display.
this problem has been discussed in previous posts in 2008. We...
unless the Epson printer is a large format or above $200 or more, then its worthwhile. Strangely, we find the printheads on the very expensive Epsons are similar to the cheapy printers, its the the ink cartridges that are worth it that make the job worth the effort.

we did the diagnostics..the paper feed motor comes up and then when tested, the screen goes blank. I suspect its the board and not the motor.the read out is Motor 2 error.

I agree! I believe HP makes their own inkjets. Good choice.

re-assembled the printer..now the main feed motor failure comes up. we removed it, and watched as we powered up the printer..and no action.
unless this is a secondary problem that was not noted when the clutch problem appeared.
please advise

Xerox Tech: is the main motor feed gear motor supposed to rotate on power up? We have everything put back together, but the printer is telling us main motor feed failure. All plugs are checked.

Xerox tech: when replacing the main gears..I am noted a heavy clunking sounds, the gears are not messing..I noted in the service cd, the main gear assembly is not to be removed..I removed it :>((
Is there a way to align the main gears.

the complete assembly from Xerox is VERY expensive..but this is becoming fun, the only part that is refurbed appears to be the clutch. The rest of the assembly appears to need to be cleaned.
