Excellent, thanks. Yeah, with other apps accessing them I guess that would be a bad thing. The long and short is that we wanted to do it for security reasons.
Does anyone know of a way to move the Program Files\Common Files\System directory for IIS 5 to another drive? I'd surmise that there would be a registry hack for it. We basically want to move that dir with all 3 sub dir's and files off the system drive and onto the drive where our sites reside.
Yes, we have plenty of licenses as well as the SQL agents. As I said, we do SQL backups on the same boxes I'm having troubles on. The files are possibly open while doing the backups though. But, if that were the case, like in our other backups, the report would say "file is in use" and...
We are having a problem with backups on SQL servers with BE 8.6.
We're running the latest patches for 8.6, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, SQL Enterprise Edition & Exchange 2000. We are running Exchange Remote Agent and BE Remote Agent.
Basically, trying to run a full backup on our Exchange box...
Muahahahah! That's what I thought. I've started cutting my own from paper. We have a label gun too. I guess that's my road. I just find it funny that they don't print labels to purchase. We can't be the only ones who relable our tapes!
Not a tech question, but relevant. The labels that come on the insert when you buy a DLT Tape IV: they are blank, not barcoded and I've run out! Is there any way to purchase sheets of them??? I've checked with our rep at CDW and they only sell the barcode labels, not blank ones. Has anyone run...
Thanks for the responses. We finally solved it, albeit luckily. After reinstalling I went into the Tools/Options/Mail Format tab and noticed that the message format was set to nothing. So I set it to HTML and it worked! I don't know if something happened between reinstalling and changing that...
My problem is on Outlook 2000 Premium with full updates (sp3, security and patches).
When trying to create a new email or respond to any email Outlook just shuts down with no error message.
First I tried patching Office. Then I tried repairing Outlook. Then I repaired Office. Then I...
In our list of about 150 users within Exchange Users and Computers, 3 accounts will not let me set a primary address under the Emails tab. The buttons for Remove and Set as Primary are greyed out.
Is there a setting for individual accounts that I'm missing?
Ok, if you choose your drive/library, right click, go to properties and hit the Configuration tab, there is an option for "Enable Hardware Compression". If it is not available your drive doesn't support compression. You'll have to use software compression on the jobs themselves...
zoeythecat, that's what I find strange. One of my particular SQL databases is over 220GB. The entire dbase gets backed up on 2 35GB tapes. It's weird that yours is asking for another tape.
Thanks, guys, that's good to know. Now, I'm taking all of what you say to heart, yet I still don't fully comprehend it.
In essence, there is no limit on the amount of data I can store on a 35GB tape??? Because, as it stands, I can fit 129GB on a 35GB tape so far, according to BE.
