Thanks everyone, I just wanted to update this thread with my findings for future searches. It turn out that it was the "Outgoing Display?" setting on the trunk group. It was set to yes. Once I set it to no, it now shows the dialed number. This definity stuff is so confusing and convoluted...
Thanks, I just tried that and it is still the same. I also tried setting Send call number to n and send connected number to n and that didn't do it either.
I also came in early this morning and bypassed the Asterisk system and it still reads a=Outside Call. It also reads 501 on the bottom...
Well, I gave up on this and bought a 4 port fxo analog card for the Asterisk server to send the mode codes over. I would still rather do it over the PRI in case anyone ever has an idea of how to do it. Thanks,

Hello All,
I probably hosed something up in my Definity g3v6 switch. When making an outgoing call, our 8410D phones used to display the outgoing call number. It happens on every phone now. I hooked an asterisk box in tandem with the Definity and now all outgoing calls only display a=Outside...
Hello All,
I have been playing with LWC to turn on and off the MWI of my Lucent 8410D phones hanging off my Definity g3v6 system and it works great. I want to script asterisk to use that feature to let my users know they have voicemail. This is not critical because I plan on having voicemail...
Hello All,
I am getting incredibly close to have a full Asterisk to Definity system up and running. I am running Definity g3v6. The last piece of the puzzle is to get the definity phones to work with asterisk voicemail. I think the only way to accompish this is to route Mode Codes through...
Wow, I found it! The perfect solution was so flipping easy! I found a setting in the dial plan call eta routing pattern. Once I set that to be my pri route then all extensions that I delete from definity automatically get routed through to asterisk without delay! How awesome! Thank you!
Well, that does technically work. I wish there was an option for 0 rings in the cov path. Also, the definity is not passing caller id with the coverage path option. I did not want to go with an feature access code, because I did not want my users to dial 6060 for one extention and 96062 for...
Oof, I will have to take some time to digest all that and try it. I think I might like the remote coverage path best. I will have to test it. Thanks a lot. I will let you know how it turns out.
Poltergeek!
Definity g3 v6... It's old. Unfortunatly, uniform dialing is not enabled on this old system as a customer option. It is available, but even lucent would know how to enable it now. If only I had the init password. I am hoping it is still do-able. Thanks,
Poltergeek
I currently have an PSTN PRI to Asterisk PRI to Definity system in place. I currently have all calls transparently passing through the Asterisk box. I want to start taking one extention(station) at a time off the definity and move it to the Aserisk box. Everything works great on the Asterisk...
