ArcServe v11.1, BAOF and Outlook .PST Files

thanks for the quick feedback. I'm going to download sp1 later tonight. No note at all in any event viewer of trouble. Not even in the backup log. I don't really have a choice in setup and such. Corporate mandates delivery locally. I don't want to store the pst files on the local HD, cuz I...

ArcServe v11.1, BAOF and Outlook .PST Files

Sorry, sometimes I get carried away and assume everyone knows and sees what I do. Our Exchange server will soon be moved to a remote location. we are setting our clients to have their mail delivered to a local mailbox (that way if the server or connection is down, they can at least access the...

ArcServe v11.1, BAOF and Outlook .PST Files

I cannot for the life of me get my ArcServe v11.1 to backup users .pst files. I have purchased and installed the BAOF v11.1. I know it's running, as I have just backed up an open xls file. Does anyone know what the trouble is here, or have some documentation other than the help in BAOF...

    Prohibit Encryption on Server

Does anyone know how I can prohibit encryption on my file server? It is Windows 2003 Server. When I copy my local encrypted file from my XP or W2K laptop to the server, the encryption sticks and other users cannot access the file. Not what I want. I want the file to loose all encryption when...

    Copying encrypted Files to Server

I appologize - I just not saw that section. I tried to set that for my server in the domain controller's AD, but do not have permission. I've asked the AD gods to set it for me. I'll let you know if that is it. Thanks a ton for all of your help with this. I truely appreciate it.

    Copying encrypted Files to Server

Thanks bcastner. However - I checked all 3 of my W2K3 servers, and you'll never believe that not one had that key in the registry. Any other ideas? Do you have machines you can simulate this on?

    Copying encrypted Files to Server

Not sure what you mean with regard to the Domain Admins, but that is not who is logged on and owns the files. The user is who is logged on. They are an administrator of the client machine. I am not familiar with recovery certificates or agents either. No one can copy a file from an encrypted...

    PWRK$LMSRV process terminated

Starting during the past 3 weeks, my Pathworks v5 has started to sporadically error out and stop the above process, and others. My Operator.log file shows %System-F-Accvio, access violation, reason mask=!XB, virtual address=!XL, PC=!XL, PSL=!XL I issue a Sys$startup:pwrk$startup, and...

    Copying encrypted Files to Server

The file owner has full access to the destination share on the server. (Actually I'm testing, and I'm full admin on all systems and servers). It doesn't matter where the file was created. We can't copy files that were created on the client, nor can we copy files that were created elsewhere...

    Copying encrypted Files to Server

Cannot copy encrypted files from Windows 2000 Professional systems to a Windows 2000 or 2003 server. Receiving error message "cannot copy <filename>: Access is denied. The source file may be in use.". The file owner is the owner of the share on the server, or has full access to the share...
