An ABR is a router with interfaces belonging to more than one area. A Stub is a router with one gateway (one way in, one way out).
Question: What is a NSSA and can you please provide an example? I'm so confused. Sorry I'm a newbie to OSPF:-)
Thanks,
Nicole
Thanks Guys,
I will try and do my "homework". I'm trying to get into the networking field, but no one will even look at my resume without a certification. I was just trying to get my foot into the door. Kisses :-)
Thanks,
Nicole
lerdalt..thanks for the resource. Books are good, but there so much information that I just want to filter out stuff that's most likely will not be on the BCMSN.
Thanks,
Nicole
Hi,
I'm new to this forum. Anyways, I'm studying for the BCMSN exam and would like to know if there are any free braindumps out there. My budget is very small, so any information would be helpful. XoXo
Thanks,
Nicole
Does anyone know how to set the idle timeout session for telnet server in Win2K? Using the native telnet server not Unix services for Windows.
Thanks,

Is there a way I can upgrade to NNM v6.4? Since this version has the dedup.conf file. I can't seem to find the software anymore since it's old. We don't have to money to upgrage to v7.
Thanks,
Nicole
Nigel,
I have NNM v6.2 and I can't locate the dedup.conf file. Is it a file that should already be there? The ECS is too complicated. I'm sooo fustrated right now:-(
Thanks,
Nicole
Nigel,
Yes..I am getting 5 different lines in the event browser.
You say that NNM is supposed to correlate duplicate events within a short time-frame. Are there variables that I can set to have it alarm just once? I can send you a screenshot if you want. This is driving me nuts:-)
Sorry I'm new...
I have configure my router to send SNMP traps to NNM when an interface goes down. I get the traps in my alarm browser (ie. OV_IF_Down). But I get 5 alarms for the same event. Is there a way to stop this? Is there a way to tell NNM to just send 1 alarm per event?
Windows 2K Server
NNM v6.2...
I wanted to enable more than 2 telnet sessions for Win2K Server. When I installed the Unix Services for Win2K I can telnet to the server without problems. However, when I telnet to another device from my telnet server, the session is very slow and drops. Does anyone know why and is there a fix...
I currently have HPOV NNM v.6.2. The server is located on a isolate LAN with NO internet access. My manager is requesting that I configure OV to send alarms to cell phones when a T1 goes down. How can I make this happen? Is there a software that I need to load. Sorry, I'm a newbie to OV...
