no didn't work. in my windows\system32 the property sheet handler for this control I believe is themesui.dll Mine is 385536 bytes 2/28/06 vers 6.0.2900.2180 I can't imagine that is not the typical but I don't know where else to search now. Yes, I'm aware of the properties. These do have values in my registry but they are not displayed and the button is disabled in the cpl as I indicated.- philxp
