Thanks linney. Most of the link did not apply because I was not getting that far. But upgrading BIOS did the trick, even though Toshiba daid that the upgrade was for larger HD's.
Current install is ridden with "anti-virus/spyware scanners", if you want to call them that. I can not get rid of them totally. I cannot invoke <F6> it never gets that far. All I get is the first "inspecting computer hardware..." and then a blank screen.

On my test table I am just using insert object from file and browsing for the jpg. This is an access database right now. When I insert the object and set up a small form the image displays in access, but not when I try to retrieve it from ASP.
