    display text from SUMMING (Excel)

Cheers Think I'll go with the quick cheat recommended by Zelandakh (!!). Feck to the IF statement, no offence but my Excel capabilities aren't the Mae West!!! The quick cheat will work because I'm dealing with large, whole numbers (usually) and 0.001 will go unnoticed!! Cheers again people...

    display text from SUMMING (Excel)

Hello, I'm trying to compile yield figures for a product, by week and then quarterly. This is fairly straight forward SUMming in Excel but as always there's something!! On occasion, a particular product might not have been tested and therefore the yield is zero (0)!! Because a percentage and...

    Charts in Excel

I need to create a chart in Excel(not that difficult, I know!) which will graph weekly yield totals. I've set up several spreadsheets linking daily outputs to Pass/Fail totals, from which a graph is created. However (the problem!), the boss would like the graph to automatically change on the...

    getting the toolbox back???

Hello Jim, The problem was in the conversion from 97 to 2000. It turns out that the Tools-Start-up thing is changed when converting. So I just ticked the options and the advanced option and then I was ready to edit.

    getting the toolbox back???

I was sent a db, built by someone else and which I now need to change around for ourselves here! The problem is that the toolbar and the toolbox cannot be used as they are 'shaded out'!! For example I want to delete a combo box and replace it with Find Record, but I cannot get at the Command...

    Input Masks?

Anyone know how to set the data type in a table to 'Double'? I've been asked to do this with the recommendation of using an Input Mask. The field is 'Revision' as in the revision number of a document and takes the form of 2 digis (eg)Rev 00; 01; 02 etc. any ideas, anyone?

Any idea how this is done???

I got that User one sorted (fixed!) but I've had to create another one which, as I mentioned earlier involves the Input Mask set to Double etc.... So tomorrow's another day! Anyway, Kathryn cheers for all the help. I'll buy you the pint of Harp (prefer Guinness myself!) next time your over...

Any idea how this is done???

Sorry, the lookup for the UserID is now NOT working again!! I also had to create 2 other query's as lookups (as part of the d/b, not for this table but they're going fine!) For this line of code you provided this is what results in its place when the query is reopened! Yours: User...

Any idea how this is done???

I'm getting the error message when I'm selecting the fields to contain the value i want included in the lookup column! But this is with a different table, the one including the Input Mask to Double and the whole Revision thing I mentioned earlier!!! Because I don't know how to change the input...

Any idea how this is done???

Well fair play to you.. At long last I'm getting somewhere (and the database is coming along nicely too!!! - joke!) OK, now it's not!! When I'm going through the lookup wizard, it's telling me that "no value given for one or more required parameters" Any ideas of this problem - 'cos...

Any idea how this is done???

Any idea how this is done???

Kathryn, I think so too, about building the lookups into the table design. Have I got to create the query first and then Append it to the table ? Sorry to keep bugging you!!!
