Just starting to work with SRSS 2012 having done CRXI for a number of years. I need to start converting my CR reports and have hit on an initial snag.
I have a table in the DB which stores the customer name and address. Obviously this has no relationship to any other table. At the moment Report...

Agreed, it is not as clear as I would have liked. The formatting has not carried over as I hoped.
The target is to have the Month and Areas down the left side and the days of the month across the top. Each of the cells will show the total calls for the day for each of the areas.
So I hope...
I am trying to produce a crosstab report to show the total number of calls from areas in the system.
What I want to see is
Friday Saturday Sunday ......... Thursday
January 01/01/2013 02/01/2013 03/01/2013 31/01/2013...
It definitely is having an issue with the midnight to 6am calls.
When I look at the 11pm - 7pm group, all I see are calls from 23.00 - 23:59 and 06:00 - 07:00.
The calls from 00:00 to 05:59 are being stored in a separate group with no title.
I will look at Mike solution to see if that works...
I have a report for a call centre who want to cover their shift pattern.
The groups I require are 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm and 11pm - 7am.
The calls are stored as date/time fields.
The problem lies in the 11pm - 7am section, both in their selection and ordering.
I am using this at the moment...
During the BBC Horizon program on Creativity, last night, I had the flash of understanding. No idea why it popped out then, wasn't thinking about it all, it's work, why I would I think about it so late at night!!
It is being evaluated for each instance, but as they are in TopN order, the last...

Thanks.
I was surprised the order would make any difference.
I was expecting the suppression formula in GP2 to be evaluated for every instance of GP3 and it would be suppressed if it found 1 match, so order was not relevant.
Surprised about the way CR works sometimes!!

Not sure how a TopN group would help me.
The data in GP 3 can be 1 or more call indicators of Low Battery Conditions, there are at least 25 possible conditions for a unit.
During any period, it is unlikely for more than 3 or 4, but they can be single calls or repeated calls.
So the...
A query regarding Group Suppression.
Using CRXI R2 on a Sybase 11 database all under Win7.
The report is designed to show specific numbers of calls for a Low Battery event. The customer wanted to control the minimum number of events in order to see where problems may lie a parameter called...

I have reinstalled Win 7 and all is solved. Something deep in the Java world of my computer was broken.
All I have to do now is decide whether to keep the upgrade to SAP CR 2011 or not.
First impressions when looking at existing reports are not good, but that is another discussion!!
Thanks

I have just installed CR in a Win 7 virtual machine ( win 7 professionsal SP 1 ) and XP SP 3 virtual machine.
Both are standard installs and have no Java updates installed. XP has only .Net 2 and Win 7 only has what is supplied with the OS.
I use VM for a variety of thinh=gs and had a...

I have checked all that and they are enabled in both Firefox and IE. It must be something deeper than a simple option. I have also uninstalled Java and .Net and put them back.
I have also tried the latest CR from SAP and it does the same.
thanks

The machine is my development machine. I can design and build the reports, just cant test them when I have parameters.
IE is already at the latest version, v9.0.8112.16421.
I have also uninstalled CR. Logged as local admin and re-installed. Still no joy. I did notice that when I click on...

I did upgrade to Firefox 16 recently. Tried removing it and leaving IE as the default browser, but still no joy.
The parameters dialogue appears and I can select the available options for my parameters. It just does nothing when I click OK.
If I hover over the File Open under the Recent...
