Once the file has played, it needs to be reset to play from the beginning again as it does not automatically go back to the start.
To play it again, first set:
.command = "Prev"
then play again
This should be easy..but it isn't.
HOw can I pass the text entered in asimple text box to the ADO Recordset find command so that it will then search and find the data that matches.
Microsoft only show you how to do it with fixed data hard coded (tsk,tsk) I want this to be dynamic.
Thanks,
We have upgraded the server - more memory and Win2000 Server and the problem has disappeared.
It used to run on WinNT4 Server - the Database would corrupt..I would say at least twice /month !!
No, we don't like Exchange much - we use Mdaemon mail server.
I have since reformatted and reloaded windows2k and now it's letting me add the required licenses - bizarre!
All we need is an email server and a central location for our word docs and Access database. I have set up the Win2K server as a stand-alone server - we don't need Active directory for our purposes - so how do I go about licencing my 25 concurrent users - the licensing option does not want to...

We have some users that will quite innocently attempt to open just about anything with Word - so that may be the very answer.
Thanks for your feedback!
Thanks,
On average the database goes 'wobbly' once a month. It can't be opened at all, so can't use the compact & repair. Our only way is to recover from tape backup.
This leads me to think that it is caused by an illegal shutdown of one of the users - if it was hardware or network related I...
We have Access2000 database with around 18,000 records, shared from a server to around 7 people.
Access is set to lock the file for editing to prevent more than one person editing the same record.
Every now and then, we get the database reportingit is 'in a state' whichinevitably means it is...
we have a Win2K Server and several Win98 Clients. I noticed recently that when one of teh '98 Clients accesses a shared file on the server then closes it - the server still 'thinks' that the client has the file open - monitoring the file shares and in use shows the file open for read/write -...
I tried the code from scking, but all I get is 'undefined type in
'Public Function GetOutlook() 'As Outlook.Application'
THe problem with code snippets is figuring out what's what.
stehazza, Thanks.
The $64,000 question then, is DNS. Where do I find the 'microsoft preferred method of setting up'? You don't get much for your money from Microsoft, Win2K Server on CD and a whole lot of holes that need filling!
We have 7 pc's (mix of 98 and XP) on a lan. We are currently running as a large workgroup and want to move to Win2K Server, our isp hosts our email and our domainname,
lets call it 'www.acme.com'
we use MDaemon Email server which gets all the email from our isp and delivers it to the Outlook...
Josephm,
Thanks, does that mean you have also disabled DNS on WIn2K Server, even though you have Active Directory?
Also, I assume your domain name is with your ISP, as is ours, so what did you call your Domain?
