Ahhhhh!
Skip, Your first code works.
Thanks for the guidance.
Although I am not sure if the idea is exactly what is needed.
If you, the user, want to edit the text in the cell the macro keeps happening. Need to do same action maybe with a double click.
More playing required.
Yeha!
I must be missing something. The Private Sub that you provided, where does it get put? In the same module of an already defined macro? And does this already defined macro have to be running?
Or Should this Private sub be stand alone in its own module?
Then it does not have a macro name?
The...
Thank you for the input.
Skip, I have a question on your suggestion. Bear with me since I am new to this. The following is what I understand your code would do. Your code + my code would be started any time any cell is clicked? If the clicked cell is not in my defined range, the macro does...
I want to link a cell in Excel sheet so that it runs a macro that I have created. The macro takes the text in that cell and uses it.
I have the macro that does this but have not found a way to run it by clicking in a cell like you would for a Hyperlink.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Low level user of Excel macros and links here. Have fair amount of VB programming experience. Trying to shorten the learning curve. Need to link to a directory and find a specific file based on a name of a file in the spreadsheet. Not sure if this can be better done using link commands or better...
Gentlemen, once again I am in debt to you.
I am intent on fixing this thing. AAAANd as you said look forward to showing my IT guys that there are other ways besides reloading everything to fix a problem. In this case I doubt that reloading would fix anyway.
For your databanks here is the...
Once again I thank you for the information.
Yes you did see this posted also in the Windows NT forum.
I did bring this issue up with my support people and I basically got the reload everything etc... passing the buck.
That is why I am trying to fix this myself or rather through this forum...
Thanks very much for the info.
I checked the My Computer when undocked and did not see what you said. Non of the network drives were visible.
I did set up another profile, unDocked unNet, and this has gotten me closer.
The default save directory option for wordPad is not something I could...
You speak truth pbx, however in the real world of understaffed an always chasing fires it is too easy not to fix the real problem but to have a blanket fix for all problems like reload everything.
So here is the scoop.
I setup a third profile for undocked unNetworked. I has gotten me closer...
That almost seems too easy! I have set it up and I will verify it soon. My laptop also has a PCMCIA modem which I also use when undocked. Curious if this will be affected? It sounds like it should not.
I also have some other suggestions to try.
I will let you know.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I am trying to solve a problem I am having with my Laptop running NT. Problem description follows. I need to determine if the problem is Novel related or Microsoft related or ...
The Novel login form I get states the following;

Thanks for the reply.
When I select docked, the docking station has a Nic card. When I select undocked, the PCMCIA card is used. I do not remove the card .
I guess I just figured that checking the workstaion only checkbox at the Novel login, the program would then set conditions that would tell...
Has anyone ever experienced the following.
I have a laptop running NT SP6. At my desk I connect to the company's network either docking station or PCMCIA net work card. Our network uses Novel.
When I boot up I have the choice of Docked or undocked. Then I get the Novel sign on screen. If I am...
I have a similar problem and would like to know the proper procedure for making things connect. Here is the problem. I have a Main exe that uses another project that is compiled to a dll. The Main exe generates an error when it starts up and does a call to the dll. The error is something like...

I took another look at the Boot.ini. Here it is.
