Hi, When you make the change to the job do you then "Submit" the job, or just close the modifying job window? You need to actually go through the Subit Job steps for it to take affect. I hope this helps, Matt

This makes me think the problem might be with database corruption or integrity. Did you start with a fresh DB when you upgraded? I can;t remember if this is possible when upgrading from 7 - 11.X

Sorry forgot to add that if I create a new job and select just that direcotry it backs it up? I didn't want to have to recreate the backup job if I can help it as it's huge.

I got tired of using the Agent in previous versions (and paying for it). I just do SQL backups and use ARCserve to back that up (with no agent). I xcopy the transaction log backups too in case the server dies before I get a the FULL db backups. I would get a refund on the agent!
