Ok.. This computer is driving me nuts!
I have a iMac G5 with OSX 10.4.11. The computer stopped booting and was stuck on the grey screen with the spiral.
I assumed the hard drive must be going bad. So I removed the hard drive and hooked it up via a USB drive reader to another MAC running...
mforrence: I agree with you..
trvlr1: I am using a Fluke DSP-4000 and it has been calibrated from Fluke...
I am thinking it is something within the ceiling... Maybe the wires are kinked or possibly they are next to some high voltage... I will have to look at where one of the "new" guys ran...

We purchased some new cat5e cable and the first time using it, the cable failed on return loss only on pair 7,8 with margin -1.8dB at 29.1MHz on two separate lines. Of course I was thinking it was the cable and that it was poor quality. However, we used a third cable along with...
I have Crystal Reports 8.5 and recently needed it to add a field to an old report. It seems that any database fields or text boxs can not be added. There is a "ghostbuster symbol" (usually like a no smoking symbol of course without the cigarette) when I hover over the report with the field being...
I am also using crystal reports 8.5 to export a report into a pdf file. I get an error message in XP (which I don't know right now because I am not in front of the machine). I do not have crystal reports installed on this machine. It specifically asked for a dll that said it was missing, which...
I am using Crystal Reports 8.5 and I have a report that uses a nice pie chart. When running this report from a machine that doesn't have crystal reports installed, it will not show the pie chart. I tried copying all sorts of DLL files from crystal but it still shows up blank. Does anyone know...
See my thread: thread766-1258688
I dont agree with CR 8.X seeing a string over 255 as a memo ALL the time! I am having issues myself with memo/string fields. There is a BUG somewhere!
Somehow "something" looks at the data that is in the table to determine the string length of the field in...
I wanted to post what I found so far. I DELETED the table row, which had only one row of data in it, and recreated the field with NO data in it. Now it takes it as a memo field. I think this is a bug SOMEWHERE either in Crystal Reports or MySQL ODBC. I am still using the old connecter...
Ok, I checked the data in the table, I was curious WHY it was choosing string[230] and not 255. The ONLY record in the table that had any data in it contained text of 230 characters! I decided to ADD 100 more characters in the field data and then re-designed a new report, and it now shows...
I still did not resolve: thread766-1081074
As soon as I created the report in Crystal Reports 8.5, this report showed a MySQL "text" field as a memo data type in CR 8.5. When I saved the report, went back in the next day to finish the report, I verified the database and it said it fixed the...
Yeah, thats for sure. I uninstalled the older odbc drivers and installed th latest from their site and I am getting all sorts of problems with Crystal Reports. When you pu the ODBC connection in it (username, password, server) The drop down for the database to select shows garbage characters...
I will try that, however I do want a memo field (eaning I would like it to be more than 255 characters). I just hope the MySQL ODBC 5.0 set will not cause problem... ;)
Thanks.
This is a continuation of thread: thread766-1081074
Since it was archived, I couldn't add to it.
Ok, as a recap; I have Crystal Reports 8.5 and MySQL Server 4.1.18-nt and MySQL ODBC 3.51.12 Drivers.
It seems when using a "text" field in MySQL, Crystal Reports will only show it as a String...
I have crystal reports version 8.5, MySQL 4.1.9-standard, and I am trying to get a left outer join to work. The report works great with this select statement:
SELECT * FROM employees
Now, I go into the report and click on the "Verify Database" option from the menu and change the select...
