You should be able to set the Trunk Hunt for the MJ lines to Cyclical (first page of the trunk programming). Of course I am taking it for granted that the three MJ lines are in the same trunk-group.
Thanks for the reply. We are using the SLMO card. I will have to check a few things that you mention like the COS including TTT and VC. These were no called out in the documentation. The documentation also called for a DIGTYPE of OPTIE12 in the button table and OEADVPL as the device type on...
We have our Hicom 300 PBX connected to a Dialogic DMG1008DNI gateway using digital-set-emulation. This setup is to support moving to Microsoft Exchange UM. When you call a station and they do not answer the call is redirected to the gateway and onto the UM. We do not get a message but...
Change the DS1 Connect: field on both systems to PBX and then you will get an Interface: field that one system should be set to Network and the other to User. Once this is done issue the command - Status Signal-group xx (you do not show).
On the DS1 form, protocol "a" is 5ESS and "b" is NI1 (should also work with NI2). I would go with NI2 here.
As for the quantity of digits, this should match your extension length. If you extensions are 4-digits then ask the vendor to delivery 4-digits. This way you do not have to put any...
We ran into the same situation. It would appear that this happens whenever you use H.323 trunks between the Avaya and Cisco systems. If you use SIP it does not. I have asked my co-workers in China if they came up with a solution but have not heard back from them yet.
As soon as I hear from...
Let us jump back to the original question. Are you saying that you need to busyout the 12th channel on a T1 circuit? If this is the case, then NO!, you can not just jumper across it to busy it out. You would do this through the programming of the PBX.
If you put a jumper across the T1...
First make sure that the ports are removed from the trunk-group. Then busy out the d-channel if this was ISDN. Then remove the DS1 programming. Finally remove the card.
If you removed the card, which it sounds like you did, you need to put it back into the same slot it was removed from and...
I think what you are looking for is the "Short Interdigit Timer" which you will find on the System-Parameters Features form. This controls the time between digits to determine when dialing is done. If someone takes too long between entering digits for a call, this timer expires, and the call...
It sounds like you are on the right track. Are you using the UDP tables? If you define 3778 in the UDP table as a UDPCode with 200 and then go to the AAR table and route 200 to your trunk-group it should work. In your route-pattern delete the three digits (200) which will only send 3778 over...
We had the same problem a couple of months ago. We could add single line phones but not digital. Kept getting the error message. It did take Avaya to correct this.
I would take 4merAvaya's advice and open a case with Avaya to get this resolved.

If your client has existing buildings I would think they already have some phone service there and should be able to tell you which carrier they are using.
