Although I didn't encounter the error under the exact same circumstances, I have seen error 1065 occur on some of my media servers after they have been running successfully for months.
I've consulted Veritas, and so far haven't been able to pinpoint the root cause of the 1065 error. Veritas...
I had this same message about a month ago. I updated the tape device drivers with the latest Veritas "approved" versions and updated the firmware on the tape drive. These two items fixed the problem.
Before I fixed, my backup would get almost done, then fail with the "semaphore message"...
