Just opened a completely different file, with no password protection, file opened normally but when I clicked on properties, same flashing described above… so, seems to be a word issue more than a particular file issue…

Good news! Removing the system, et al., attributes revealed the folder within the command prompt and allowed deletion of these files.
Not sure what the files were but didn't want to take any chances.

NT does not give access to the /temporary internet files/ folder thru the command prompt.
It's not a real DOS prompt, only a shell.
Any other ideas...?

I am trying to delete a file that appears in my winnt/profiles/username/temp internet files/content.browser/##### folder but get the message that the file cannot be found. The file size is 0 KB but the file shows up in the folder.

Running Windows NT 4.0 SP6
When I shut down I receive two 'end task' messages stating that the following application cannot respond to the shutdown: "OleMainThreadWndName"
Does anyone know what this application is? It does not appear in the applications running list.

When I follow the above procedure I get a Setup message that states:
“Microsoft Internet Information Server may be installed by another process. Please restart your Network Control Panel Applet.”
This might be because I have already installed IIS – agree? (See previous post) So, MS IIS already...
