thanks for reply but i thnk i found the solution. it happen in case of update and if you set parametere update criteria to update key, it will solve the problem. actually by default ado use different method to update the table (when you use client side cursor)

i'm really stuck the following problem "row cannot be located for updating. some values have been change since it was last read"
the detail is as follow
i have two table, one got part no and name and 2nd one got reorder level, max level

I'm getting an invalid pointer exception as my program closes which is bothering me. Looking at the project code ... it pass the Application.Run line and reaches end. Which you would think it would pass over and terminate the program. But appearantly on that line is where the exception...
