got a 24-port 4070 that the console port wont accept connections, and i have no idea what the IP address is set to. console cable and settings all check out and work on another 4070 so i know its not that. manual suggests factory IP should be 169.254.100.100 but i also cant get a telnet or web...
not using Out of Office Assistant as i'm in office, and it does def reply only once to each sender. my rule is to move any mail i'm cc'd in to a different folder and fire off a response that tells the sender to resend as a direct addressee if they want a response from me. as i say, this works...

hmm. physical drive was replaced and then we installed the drivers using BE Device Wizard, rebooted and new drive appeared in BE as 'HP2' underneath 'HP1' in the Devices window. Properties of 'HP2' did not populate in Drive Type or Media Type on General tab, and Media Types tab was also empty...

yep. all slots are already assigned to Group0 which is the only group we use. for tonights job there are 5 tapes in the magazine..i can see them all in Group0 and all looks fine...only odd thing is that the Seq. field is reading '1' for all 5 tapes....is that correct?
hi. why wont my arcserve 2000 jobs pick up a second tape automatically from the library? the first tape in any job appears to fill but then the job halts and asks for a second tape instead of picking the next one from the magazine of blank tapes. when we give it another tape manually the job...
yep the batch is scheduled and we have tried running manually. once the second scopy command has completed it just bombs out..no errors..no messages. we can run all the scopy commands individually with no problem...but i cant afford the overtime to pay someone to sit here all night and do that.
