I'm attempting to embed an HTML document which contains images into an e-mail but when I do this the images disappear and are replaced by blank boxes with a red cross in the top left had corner of the image box. How can I get the images to appear in this document when it's embedded in e-mail ...

I have recently upgraded to Version 12 and I notice when I load graphics that half the image is black. When I shut WP12 down and re-open the document and try again sometimes the image is inserted correctly and sometimes it comes in again half black. I can go around in this loop multiple times...
Which files extensions can't you open ? If they're .dat files these are usually signatures which have been attached to incoming mail. If they're .vcf files they will be the digital business cards which can be added to e-mail messages to positively identify the sender. You can't open either...
Do you have your message format in Outlook 2000 also set to Plain Text to send mail and attachments ? If you don't and this is set to Rich Text, the person at the other end with only Outlook Express won't be able to see the attachments you send. Message formats in Outlook 2000 must be set to...

Sounds like whoever is sending you attachments has the full version of Outlook and is using Rich Text to format the mail and if this is the case you won't receive the attachment in Outlook Express. Get them to re-send the mail using HTML or Plain Text and you'll receive the attachment.
Best...
Usually your own ISP will have a Global Access service which you can sign up for. It involves downloading some software and then you can dial in to your mail from almost any country. They usually charge a small fee for this but it's well worth taking up. Our staff uses it globally when...

What's happening is that as soon as you start Outlook you have your delivery instructions set to send immediately and so the message and attachment start spooling ie. loading. Because it's such a huge file you won't be able to delete this while this is happening. What you need to do is kill...
Sorry Snooky. Got the wrong end of the stick. Can't you just delete these from Tools>Accounts and just remove the ones you don't want or are obsolete or am I in a completely different pew from you :-D
Best,
Pat

Hi Brad :
I do this by creating the folders I want and then I use the Rules option to indicate which folders I want the mail directed to when it arrives. This way it is auto-sorted as it arrives. I have about five folders attached to my Inbox and as the mail arrives the Rules govern where it...
I may have misunderstood so if I'm wrong just disregard this ! The way to make a full page graphic stay on the correct page and have the text "jump" over it to the next page so that nothing gets messed up doesn't require complicated macros.
Insert the graphic on the page you want it...
