    Thanks for the input. I do have the most recent drivers, and have copied the W98SE disk to a separate partition. I believe it should work, I at least hope it will. paladin1

    wolluf, Thanks for replying. The cable modem is connected to a NIC card (Netgear FA311). I booted into W98 in safe mode and disabled the NIC. This then allowed me to re-boot to W98 normally, (did have to adjust monitor settings). Now I'm wondering if I should remove the NIC card from Device...

    After the Comcast tech came and installed the cable modem (no software), on my WinXP partition, everything went pretty well. I then re-booted, in order to start my Win98SE partition, but it won't start; keep getting a BSOD. Checked the "boot.ini" file and found there were no changes...
