I have users that can't remember 4 digit passwords. I try to make them remember passpharases. it makes it kinda easier. and that is also why i wnat 16 characters so the lanman hash won't be stored.

the reasoning is due to the lanman hash. it is 7 characters hash. and if you have a 13 character password. it gets broken up as two 7 characters hashs. so if I made them use 16 characters the has wouldnt be broken up. just a thought.

I believe it is for Recipient policies. That is what we use it for. we set time limits on users mailboxes anything older than X days gets deleted. and we have it set up to run every sunday night.

You need to have to make the following changes in IE.
you need to add the web site as a trusted site and also you need to enable the option that says "Intialize and script Acitve X Controls not marked as safe."
once you do this it works fine.
OK I finally fixed it. It comes to CA real time monitor. I had it set to scan both incoming and outgoing files. When I changed to scan only outgoing files the problem went away. I called CA on this and they are aware of it but haven't published anything about it yet. I appreciate all the help...
Ok Now I just deleted the WINS database and recreated it. and I am still have the same problems. I am not sure wher to go from here. Any suggestions would very helpfull.
