Speshalyst;
Would like to do something about them, but there is really no consistency in which boxes that fails.
I assumed that it had something to do with large attachments/Nº messages yes, but it will wary from day to day, so I can´t predict which boxes to skip.
Not critical really, they´re...
Don´t have any solution.... but regarding speshalyst´s last comment:
I run TCP/IP AND brick level. Usually works fine, as long as I remember to stop the Norton AV Autoprotect before the job starts (have set this up as a post-job script).
I do however get some 408-errors ("Application run...
You´ll find it as a stand-alone program, probably under
"Arcserve Backup Agent", the program is called "Microsoft Exchange Backup Agent Configuration".
It´s generally one screen with some info in it only. There you will have the option of choosing between named pipes and...
Well, NAV isn´t really comitted to the mailserver. But the mailserver is on the same computer that is being backed up.
In detail: I´m using Arcserver2k with Exchange Backup Agent to handle the Exchange Server on brick level.
Now; if autoprotect is enabled, the backup job tends get errors on a...
Because I´m having an issue wuth the backup running at night. Sometimes the Backup job chrashes when trying to read the mailboxes if NAVAP is running. I´m not always around to make sure NAVAP is disabled before the job is to start, so until I have figured out the problem with...
I would like to set up a job that deactivates and activates NAV Autoprotect at specific times.
I was thinking about doing this by programming a service to be installed on the server, for instance in VB, but quite simply, I need the shell command for perfoming these two actions.
Anyone?
Tnx
I am running IIS 5.0 on win2k with a couple of domains www.domain.com and www.domain.es, in addition to several subdomains of the type www.subdom.domain.com, and also other domains of the type www.otherdomains.com
All domains/subdomains are located on the same IP 123.123.123.123 and port 80

Actually, I was just about to do that, when I discovered that I could stop the process by entering the folder called "00000001.qsd" under the ARCserve-installation. There I found a couple of files named "0000000?.job" where "?" reflected the que-id for the job. I...
Yup, biiiiig thanks to CA for this one.
Now I´ve also got a job I am unable to stop.
Restarting the computer does nothing, and it´s impossible to kill any of the processes either by taskmgr or kill.exe
I´m rather desperate here. Any suggestions.
Connan, did you get yours to stop?

I may look like a complete ignorant to you now chkplsfromindia, but exactly how do I do that?
Have gone through all options in Norton, but found nothing even resembling...
I have a problem with the combination archserv2000, exchange2000 and norton2000.
Whenever the job comes to the part of reading the exchange-db, it usually displays a couple of "Application run out of memory" (the affected mailboxes can vary from tyime to time) and then does nothing for...
Being somewhat new to Arcserve, I have a problem I can´t quite figure out.
I´m using tapes with 24GB capacity.
The job is a combination of normal files, registry files and exchangeDB.
I am backing up with data compression.
This is what happens:
When the job has written aprox 10GB of compressed...
I also have the problem of job hanging when trying to read some mailboxes. But is there no other way of solving this problem than manually removing the culprit mails?
This occours almost daily here, without any consistency in which mailboxes is affected, so it would be impossible to check EVERY...
