yeah, well I followed cisco's tech guide on NAT setup to the letter, but I have yet to get ANY response when I try and log in from outside my Ethernet. (I dont even get the default CISCO_WEB response)
Hey- don't forget about the distance you're dealing with on a wireless connection. Even bluetooth isn't 100% effective (which I doubt you're working with) if you're a distance away. Are we talking the kind of distance you get in new york- a hundred feet from wall to wall?

I'm trying to set up a small-scale FTP server using a cisco 678, a four-port linksys hub, and my PC.
I set up my 678's NAT to give me an open port on 21, but I'm pretty much stuck after that.

If you are buying a router for home DSL use, make sure your ISP and phone provider support that router model.
