OK folks - it turns out that in Internet Options, this user had incorrectly selected to access the Internet using our proxy server, on which an expired user ID and password was cached. The web server was rejecting the cached password, so it denied access to the live page and tossed up a copy of...- okeydokey

URL won't open - Clear history of previously opened webs?
No, nothing opens automatically. The "Open last web automatically when Front Page starts" under Tools> Options> General> Startup is not checked. I would like to turn that feature on when we can get the correct web to open up, with the password prompt.- okeydokey

On my computer, and on our host's computer, when opening our URL to edit, Front Page prompts for a user ID and password just as it should.
