Hi Dean,
I added the "Skip 3/31" to the schedule and removed it because it would skip the full backup at Saturday the 31st of March in 2012 ;-) - "full last Saturday every month". We plan to update the Networker to v7.6. Maybe the bug has been fixed in SP2.
Thanks!
Oliver
Hi all,
I have a strange issue here. I use special schedules for our monthly full backup. The override is (if you disable "show schedule as calendar"):
Full last sunday every month
This morning I noticed that the monthly backup groups are active and checked the schedule. The last Friday of...
Hi Francesco,
as far as I know this is a library option:
"Auto media management - Enabling this attribute allows automated media management for volumes in the jukebox, which includes automatic labeling of 'blank' volumes. Any volume without a NetWorker label is considered to be blank."...
Hello,
if you want to rename a client you need to delete every client resource first, BUT: you should note the client ID somewhere (just copy and paste it to a text file) before you do that. Create a new client and enter the client ID - the client with the index will be renamed.

Hi All,
our VMware Consultant found a solution which works very well. In the file "glue.js" on the backup server (it's a part of the vcb framework package) you will find the paragraph:
function AttachVMData(VMinfo, vmMoRef, createSnapshot, deleteSnapshot)
He changed the following part below...
I logged on to TESTSQL2 which is the virtual cluster name. This name resides on the physical node TESTSQL01 (TESTSQL02 is the passive node).
Both nodes and the virtual names are defined as clients (a scheduled backup works). I added the servers to the remote access list of the virtual client...
Hi All,
we would like to restore a database from a live system to a test cluster. I started the SQL user on the active test cluster node, opened the networker SQL user, choose "Restore", "Copy", "A Networker SQL Server client", choose the live SQL client and the database. The job failed with...
Ok - it worked. Here is the result:
savegrp -vvv -O -c backupserver.domain -G "Daily Servers"
32451:savegrp: backupserver.domain:All level=incr
7236:savegrp: Group will not limit job parallelism
32494:savegrp: backupserver.domain:index started
save -s...
Oh - I forgot to say that we replaced both backup servers too. We had no problem with the index on the old servers, and currently I don't need the old versions. The problem is that we have no index for the new servers since the update, and I have no idea why. The clients looks similar to every...
Hi All,
today I noticed that there's no CFI for the backup server since we updated to 7.4.3. We have two servers with this problem. I could perform a saveset recovery, but I don't want to restore a drive completely. I checked the client but I couldn't find something. I would be happy if someone...
Hi All,
we use VCB without any problems, but a restore of a virtual machine creates many 2GB VMDK files instead of one (+ config files). We use the vmware converter to put the files together. Unfortunately the converter crashes if there are too many 2 GB files (300 GB virtual machine = 150 x 2...
