For those experiencing similar difficulties, I found out that the problem was cause by the fact that my work VPN used the same private IP Range as my home network i.e 192.168.0.xxx.
By changing the D-Link IP address from 192.168.0.1 to 172.16.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 it effectively fixed the...
