OK, I have this problem that is driving me crazy. I have an NT 4 box running Exchange 5.5. On certain domains it tries to resolve and then send email to, it appends our domain to the end of it, which resolves to our web server and sends it to that server. Luckily...
I solved the problem by removing the domain name from in the DNS properties on the server. The only down side to this is the Internet mail service won't start with nothing in the domain box. Anyone know a workaround for this? Exchange 5.5, NT 4.

We have one NT 4 server in house that if we try to ping a bad host name like Crapola.dell.com for example it automatically attaches our domain name to the end of it and resolves it to a server we have at a remote ISP. None of the other servers do this. They all say bad IP address. If we ping a...

We're in the process of testing IDR. Our test environment is one media server and an exchange server. We're trying to backup and restore the exchange server remotely from the media server. Everything went fairly smoothly when I created the IDR diskettes but its a different story on the...
We are thinking about moving our web sites in house. We would like to have a primary T1 and have some kind of lower bandwidth connection as a backup through a different ISP in case the primary T1 fails. Configuring such a scenario for outbound traffic isn't a big deal but I'm not sure how to...

This way we can see that user A's mailbox is full becuase their delete items is...
We run an Nt 4 domain here. I wanted to know if there was any problems with adminsitering the NT 4 domain from a Win2K workstation using user manger, server manager, etc. My boss seems to think that we will corrupt the SAM or something to that effect. I don't think this will cause an issue...
