Hi I am mapping luns to a DMX FA for an HPUX host. The host currently has luns from a symmetrix 5 presented. When I map luns to the DMX FA should I use different VBUS, Target entries then the currently mapped luns on a symmetrix 5.

looking at clones rather than having bcvs for multiple mirrors. Allows for more copies. Any thoughts/experience on symclones.

is there any way to get around the 4 mirror position limitation on a dmx.

Is lun 000 still required for RHEL to scan all SCSI devices on the emc array

yes exactly, The R1 standard is also in sync with its R2. Can the BCV that is 2-mirr and in addition is R1, be srdf'ed to an R2 BCV 2-mirr as well.

Can you have and R1-2way-Mir-BCV established to an RDF1+Mir. Also the RDF1+Mir is in sync with the RDF2+Mir.

Running Connectrix Manager 7.02 with Mcdata switches. I have a host attached to a port which posts a large number of 'Address ID Errors' as seen via CM7.0.2 Any idea on how to troubleshoot this error. Cables have been checked.

Have an hba zoned to 2 FAs on a DMX. On one FA it is logged in successfully i.e Logged On Identifier type Node name Port name FCID In Fabric wwn Fibre Null Null 10002 Yes Yes On the 2nd FA its is not logged in...

The images for the original primary do not exist. Different retention levels. Does the duplicate automatically become the primary in this case

I have used ITC to create a second copy of the backup. The primary tape is no longer available. How can a restore from the secondary be handled. Is this automatic within netbackup of does the secondary have to be made the primary.
