We have close to 300 outlook xp installations throughout our state at Childcare centers with have pop3 accounts configured. We have just found out that our isp is going to change their smtp server name and address.
is there anyway to utilize a prf file to automate the setting change that'll...
we have 2 training classrooms full of windows xp machines. We use several different usernames and profiles and have a windows 2000 ad domain. Is there a tool similar to shutdown.exe to remotely log windows xp pro machines in so that we wouldn't have to go to each machine and do it?
thanks
here is the config. the global nat id 2 (172.16.0.1) is for a wireless vlan that I have behind the network. The large number of statics is for machines that that need to be accessed from the front side of the pix. there is a separate access-list on our 2621 edge router blocking most of those...
just outbound. my users support educational software and often have to remote into client networks, some of which require us to use ms vpn. I realize static nat is for publics, but we have 2 clients who have requested we use a static and the cisco vpn to access their network.
Actually your oops might be my answer. The pcanywhere issues I had was resolved by something changing on the remote firewall, because yesterday it didn't work for my users but today it did. Ms vpn still doesn't though. It works if it behind just my router using an overload nat, but not when...
okay thanks. I think some of the reasons the vpn traffic is not working when the connection is started from a Patted device is that some port information is being striped. I'm going to upgrade to ios version 6.3 and doing soming call "nat-t
I have a pix 515 in place with my users using pat. They want to be able to start a pcanywhere from their patted machine to one outside of our network. Will this work with PAT. I know that the Cisco VPN will not, that's why I am wondering. Will Mircosoft VPN work with PAT as well, again...
I'm having a slight problem with my current pix configuration. Before installing the pix I had a primary and secondary subnet on the internal interface of my 2621 router. One was public ips and the other was a private 10.0.0.0 subnet. They all shared the same physical lan. With the pix in...
I currently have 2 vlans setup on our network. 10.0.0.1 class a is our private network and 172.16.0.1 class c is our guest network. they don't talk to each other and the 172.16.0.1 is routed by a layer 3 switch to our 2621 router (uses access-lists) whose internal interface is 10.0.0.1 but has...
I think routing is enabled. I mean the command ip routing. I don't have to re-enable it after I create the sub interfaces do I? The pcs should have the right gateways 10.0.0.1 or 204.186.x.x. here is my entire config minus the access-list 120. it around 5 pages long.
Using 27604 out of 29688...
I tried my proposed config tonight and the commands took with no errors, but i was unable to get outside the native vlan that I created on interf 0/1.1 I could ping it from workstations but that was it. I intially tried it with the secondary ip on the first virtual interface, but then took it...
we are in the process of installing a wireless network within our conference and learning center. We want to have 1 vlan for guests and 1 for staff. I can do that with the aironet 1231's we have since it has vlan capabilities and filter to go with those vlans. thanks to another thread I...
