    yes thanyou- but i dont know where to look - to process this xml file in a cobol program- how do you define the file and then process it ??? how do you make a link to this file???? in OS400 could you point me in the direction of which redbooks this would be in ..... thankyou please help!!!!!!!!

    how to pass 3 fields in an xml document form an access system

    i have an access system wherby lots of fields are entered on a screen - on entering one of the fields i need to write this field to an xml file and pass control to an as400 system - on return from as400 i update the fields with the data recived in the xml document .......how do i go about...

    i am going to be passed 2 fields from an access system which is read in an as400 cobol program which validates the field and should return these two fields - the process of passing fields is to be in XML does anyone have any ideas what the cobol program has to do ???
