I meant, of course, a new 200GB drive. Anyway, I updated the firmware, as you suggested, from the Apple site. Then shut the machine down overnight. I have switched it on this morning, and it has started up perfectly! Many thanks for the advice :-)

Have upgraded to latest Photoshop 8 (on a Mac), but when I want to save an image it says: "could not save as "title.psd" because of a disk error". However, it'll let me save to an external hard drive..... Could someone kindly advise? nigelsutherland@btconnect.com
