Hi,
Just done my CCNA. Now want my CCNP/CCDP...
"The recommended track is routing, switching, remote access and then troubleshooting. "
This is a tip from a friend. Can anyone back this up, or refute it? I intended to do the Remote Access exam first - is there a good reason not to...
Hi Tracy (and others),
You're absolutely right - should have given more info. Office was a bit hectic yesterday :?)
The log file is a mixture of logs from a Cistron RADIUS daemon, and an Ascend RADIUS daemon. For each user connection, there should be a start record and a stop record...
Hi,
I need to go through my employer's RADIUS logs, and extract some data, grouping them by remote IP address.
Anyone have any experience of this? Anyone got a acript already?
Anyone able to offer any advice?....
C.
Hi everyone,
Realised my mistake about 5 mins after posting my original enquiry.
In case anyone didn't know (though I doubt this is the case...) I was missing parentheses around the while condition, i.e.:
while (<ISDNLOG>)
Sorry to post something so trivial!

Hi,
I am trying to understand Filehandles properly. I don't really want to know an easier/alternative way of doing this. Instead, I'd like to know why this isn't working. The name of the script file is test_filehandle.
I get the error:
SERVER:~$ test_filehandle
syntax error at...
I know very little about project management, only what I know from practical experience (which isn't that much to be honest).
Technical project management is an area I am very keen to get into, but my employer isn't currently prepared to invest in the necessary training. Can anyone point me in...
And one other thing. When I delete a row from the worksheet containing the raw data, the pivot table is no longer valid.
Can I get around this?
Thanks :?)
Hi,
Please excuse anything that follows which is stupid - I am not very good with Excel, and my method probably seems naive. However, I would appreciate help...
I've got router stock I need to keep track of. The stock is lent out on an as-needed basis, and is either returned, or replaced...
Hi Jacro,
Was too busy to post anything yesterday. Thanks for those links. You know what I needed to do?
boot# erase
That cleared everything which I had deleted, leaving room for me to load a new IOS file into flash.
Sounds simple now, but I've been puzzled by this one from day one...
Thanks for the link jacro - but it's not that problem. Will bear this in mind for future routers though.
By the way, here's what I can do with show:
boot# help show
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
show [saved]
Show current or saved boot environment...
That was helpful Jacro. It hasn't solved the problem, but I've learnt more about IOS/TinyROM.
I think I know how to transfer a nice new IOS (and TinyROM if necessary) to the router via tftp/xmodem. However, when I try tftp, it complains that there isn't enough memory. And when I try xmodem...
Thanks for your suggestions Jeter.
I can't get to the normal <router_name># prompt - it fails at boot-up and takes me to the boot# prompt. So I can't see the startup config (but anyway, because of the stage at which it fails, I don't think the startup config will matter because it hasn't been...
Hi guys - desperate for help! Be warned: this is quite long; I just wanted to be fairly exact to avoid going to and fro between posts.
I have a cisco 801. It was running IOS version c800-g3-mw.120-3.T1 and I updated the firmware to a version validated by my employer: c800-y6-mw.121-5.bin...
Hi Nanaya,
I'm no expert either.
If you can't ping it, you should try going in on the console port. Connect it to your PC via a COM port, and open a session with Hyperterminal.
If you know the passwords, fine. Otherwise, you might need to mess around with the config register to bypass them...
Hi Thijs
I know very little about this. I think you need to add the following to your dialer interface:
dialer caller <isdn_number> callback
Where <isdn_number> is the dialing number of the line of the equipment dialing in to the router. Don't ask me any more - I know very little about...
