Samelbe, You should be looking for the IPK (not IPX) manuals for programming the Elite 48's. Certain features may not be available to (supported by) the 48's, but the programming is the same.

If you program a DSS button for the target station on your customer's handset, he'll be able to tell by the status LED if the target station is: On the line, DND, call forwarded, OR HAS VOICEMAIL WAITING. Look in your manual for DSS/BLF settings. If you need help, check back here.
