How can I share the address list on an Exchange 2000 with an Exchange 5.5 server? ADC works good at giving the 5.5 ==> 2000 information needed. Is there a way to make the 2000 server part of the same Exchange 5.5 mail domain?

Are you on a Win2K domain? If so check that your AD domain controller IP address is the first one in the PC's DNS search order. AND PLEASE get rid of the LMHOST file (rename it to .trash or something so that the PC doesn't use it at all).

Check your image file name by doing a "show version". Check this file name against 3DES on Cisco's site to see if it supports it. Typically part of the file name will have "56i" in it. Then you do have to request your encrypted key from Cisco.
Does the firewall in the UK have access-lists set up that are restricting your connection? Are you part of the same company? Have you investigated setting up a secure tunnel between the two sites so that you can request on the fly using IP addresses?
I haven't run into this before. Are you updating through the web interface? Try exploring to the directory you need (1386 for Intel machines) then to the update directory and then run update.exe
