I upgraded a customer from ACT 6.0 to ACT 2009. After calling support I was told that one of the key features that this user was interested in was no longer available, since the previous version. In 6.0, at a scheduled time daily, any changes to the calendar made would be emailed, via pop3, to a...
I need to setup RPC over HTTP WITHOUT SSL. I understand that SSL is recommended, but the reasons to not use it are too complicated to explain now. Anyway, according to MS article 833401 you can do it, but there is a registry hack to do so. Anybody know what that is?
I've searched but can't find...
I am running Secure Content Manager 1.0 for spam control, and Exchange server 2000. The Exchange server is relay secure, proven so when tested locally. I have remote users who need to use the server for their smtp address and the server is configured to relay for authenticated users, and the...
Also, I did these telnet tests from the location that is having trouble sending mail to the exchange server. If I use an SMTP (such as that built into XP) bypassing Eatel's SMTP server, then mail goes through fine.
However, If I use Eatel's SMTP, the mails are rejected by their server, as...
Yes, I can telnet to port 25 both by name and IP.
The server works flawlessly in all other aspects. I've checked and re-checked my DNS, and had another tech from my company look it over as well. I've cleared the DNS cache, flushed it, everything.
1. Yes, the Exchange server receives messages just fine from any other domain (ISP) except Eatel.
2. No, the Exchange server is in an office, which has an Eatel T1 line. MY office, which is geographically miles away, in other words has no connection to the domain containing the Exchange server...
First the details. I have Exchange 2003 SP1 installed on a Windows 2003 SBS Premium machine. SBS is patched to the latest available. I am running CA Etrust Secure Content Manager for SPAM and virus scanning on incoming emails. This application is also patched to the latest available.
Now on to...
holly18, regarding this statement "I have had no issues with running BES 2.1 or 3.6 on exchange 2000 and outlook 2000-2003", do you know if any of the Outlook 2003 users have had problem openting attachments (word docs) on their Blackberrys? Thanks!!
I have a user that cannot open attachments in his Blackberry since we've installed Outlook 2003 on his PC. The problem was noticed almost immediately so it's very likely due to the upgrade.
According to Microsoft, the settings we have in Outlook | Options | Security Zone settings are as wide...
Well, hopefully, it's as simple as disabling the ability to relay on your machine. I don't have the link to the article on how to do it right now, but I'll try to get it tomorrow. If you want to look for it sooner, just do a google search or search Microsoft's sight directly. It's pretty simple...
Not to hijack this thread, but rather then start a new one I thought I'd ask here. Does anyone have a link to an article on how to configure, from top to bottom, an out of office reply in Exchange 2000?
I know how in Exchange 5.5, and on the client side as well, but so far my efforts have not...
Take your Cox public IP and put it here: http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml
If you are blacklisted it will show up. I'm not too sure, but I do believe that spamcop is a service which a company can purchase and it will block spam based on a blacklist. This includes servers which the system has...
Nevermind. Netscape keeps the inbox folder under win98 in a different location then it did with it's older versions. It was under windows\application data\mozilla....user\ instead of simply being in the netscape folder like it used to be.
