false postives monitoring cron
Has anyone seen this before? As part of our "default monitoring" we monitor the /usr/sbin/cron process via the system agent. I've been having an issue on a few servers where it throws an alarm stating that cron has stopped when in fact it hasn't. this tends to happen about 5-10...- myonker

How does TND monitor for the existence of a process?
I have a process (cron) that is being monitored through the system agent. everytime cron executes multiple commands tng says the /usr/sbin/cron process has stopped when in fact it hasn't. How does tng determine if a process is up/down? any info would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance- myonker
