Turning off Software DEP seems to have helped alot hasn't crashed in quite a while.
I changed the Noexecute line at the end of boot.ini to this:
/NoExecute=AlwaysOff
This can be done from the system panel. Windows-key + Break gets you there then go to advanced and then Start-up and recovery...
I have had another crash although this time slightly different. I occured when I went to close Picasa 2. Uknown image is not very helpful is there any way to determine the cause?

Hi the ATI drivers are indeed the latest. I am checking for any mobo drivers that are newer. I have found a newer driver for the RAID so I will update that.
I would be loathed to request a hotfix that is stated to fix a different problem. Maybe I'll leave that as the last resort.
Thanks for...
Hi all,
I have been having odd BSODs for a while now; they mainly happen after the computer has been on a while.
The other day I did a clean install of WinXP PRo and put SP2 on after the re-install.
I have since had a couple of BSODs, and they all seem to relate to win32.sys.
Here are the...
Just to expand upon this a little further. I have a shell script which locks the queue files and generates copies rewriting the address domain. However I'm really asked the question have I missed something here, is there a simpler way?

I have a RH9 box set up as a back-up mx which works fine. However I wanted to know if there is a way to also send mail that is going to sit in the queue to the local user mailbox too.
For example.
Currently I have the following:
Mail for user@domain.co.uk will come in to the linux box as the...
I am trying to set-up smtp via TLS. The clients are outlook 2003. I have a second virtual smtp server with the certificate in place.
However although POP over SSL works fine I can not get SMTP/TLS to work. I have got it set to all the settings as per the various articles on SMTP with SSL. But...
Yes there are new users. As far as using access goes we have had it for over 3 years.
Funnily emough corruption ceased for the whole of Friday so I will wait and see if the problem has dissappeared or not.
Maybe it's just because no-one does any work on a Friday! : )

Hi I think I have found the answer to this - whilst in my local computer store I found a book on win2003 that showed how to add additional IP addresses to a network adaptor.
This is under the advanced tab from the TCP/IP settings for that adaptor.

1. As I said IMAP does not send mail it only allows a client to access mail. The client still needs to connect to an SMTP server to send mail. So suggesting the use of IMAP is not relevant here.
2.Please qualify the risk you mention in allowing relaying. By relaying I do not mean open-relaying...
Thanks for your answer, but why do you think SMTP is a problem? I'm trying to set up an SMTP virtual server with SSL and for authenticated users only. Where's the issue?
Also using IMAP still requires an SMTP server for sending mail.
Cheers,

I wish to set-up a second virtual SMTP server so that remote users can securely relay mail via our server. The current SMTP virtserver is set-up for the users on our local network so it cannot be modified to requiring certificates.
I know that I need to create a second SMTP virtual server...
Hi we are using Access 97 with individual user mdb frontends. Recently we have been experiencing the access database corrupting regularly.
Additionally there has been a slowdown in accesss responding this may correspond (in terms of timeline) to when Jet SP3 was applied in an attempt to fix the...
