For external smtp we went to POSTINI and have never been happier. Saved 10 to 12 work hours a week. For internal virus control and mailbox to mailbox we use Trend Mail. But for monitoring mail I have no idea. Capt Mike

I figured it out. After the new agent was installed on the exchange server all full exchanges backups where done via snapshot and logs where not marked correctly. I turned off the use any method available and it worked fine. This only seems to happen in exchange as rest of the servers worked...

I have been running full exchange backups each weekend for four weeks now just fine on Exchange 2003 sp1 servers. Differrential as well have worked fine through out the week. Last weekend I updated the Backup Exec agent 10d on the one exchange server and now all my difs fail with this error...

Have you tried adding the second IP address in the SMNP service. I had two sim systems and both reported as long as the forward traps to block included both servers. Capt

Server Setup has the second scsi set as the primary. Use the server Assistant disk to reload the system. Warning you will loose all data. Capt Mike

Two questions come to mind 1. Is the server a Compaq/HP product? 2. Are you sure you have the right agents? G1 G2 G3 etc.. Capt Mike

You have to use an Integration server in order to make the two separate domains work together. Pain in the tucas but it will work. For instance you have two domains and two global address lists and you want one domain to see the other in exchange. Or you a senario like yours. Capt Mike

I believe you can state in the smtp connector to use a secure IP address under exchange system manager. That will lock down outgoing. So the exchange server can receive an outgoing email run it through the filters and send it to the smtp server.
