I was running WSUS on windows 2003 (I inherited management of this server). I dumped this server and installed Windows server 2012 and WSUS. All updates have been synchronized but no computers are reporting. I've kept the same computer name. An active directory group policy defines where the...
This is something that has been bugging me for sometime. I have a Windows XP virtual machine that I'm often working in via Remote Desktop. In this VM only, when I press the DEL key, it calls up the Window security dialog (lock/logoff/shutdown ect..) as if I had just pressed alt-ctrl-end. It...
I've recently taken over administration of two VMware clusters (Version 5.1) running about 80 VMS and 6 luns between them plus a handfull of free EXSi servers. We are running virtual center for the clusters. Are there any options for running configuration reporting or third party (free?) tools...
That's true, but your service accounts should be outside the user OU and the set a base DN on the dsquery.
However, VBScript is much more elegant way to go about it though. As you said, you can then check the last time of change. People hate changing passwords too often.

use microsofts Directory Service Command-Line Tools. This will set the flag on all user objects in your AD:
DSQuery user -limit 999 | DSMod user -mustchpwd yes
a few weeks back I had similar errors, failed to read chunks from my maglib while writing to tape. I was doing some robocopies at the same time. My server was running out of resources. I rebooted and installed all available updates (both Commvault and Windows). Seems to be stable now, even...
The answer is, to go into the properties of the 'real' backup set and select 'make this the default backup set'. I was then able to right click on the accidentaly created backup set and the delete option was available under the all tasks.
CommVault Version 7.0
I meant to create a new subclient when I accidentaly created a new backup set under my IDA File System agent. Now I can't find out how remove it.
OK, thanks. I'll send a note to commvault. In my opinion, this is a real oversight.
In the meantime, I've adjusted the priorities of the shceduled jobs. Maybe next time the full will either start first or interupt the incremental.
I have a schedule policy setup to do a daily incremental Exchange mailbox backup and to run a full backup on the 15th of the month.
The full backup didn't run last night because the incremental started first.
Is there a way I can exclude the 15th from the incremental backup?
I'm a new commvault user, but in my arcserve days a similar situation would mean the tapes needed to be re-cataloged.
Perhaps you'll need to follow the cataloging procedure found here: <http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/release_7_0_0/books_online_1/english_us/search/search.htm>
