Hello there is there an easy way to setup windows 2008 file share permission. so a a user group should not be able to copy, move or delete any folders, but users in the group can do whatever they like inside folder. Many Thanks for the help. Michael

I think you have just installed a new domain, the SIDs and GUIDs are different from the previous domain/forest. you probably create new profiles, then copy things over from old profile. if the old profiles can't be opened, you have to take ownership of the folder (NTFS permissions) Michael
