Thanks - but no joy I'm affriad, I tried disabling the RSM service and got the same result. The only thing I have noticed that is different between the Win2k build that works with Legato and the build that does not is the firmware revisiosn on the changer, the one that works is at 04.09 and the...
Hi,
I'm new to Legato and have a problem with an upgrade from NT4 server to Windows 2000 that runs Legato v6 as a storage node.
The server is a Compaq ML570 with a Compaq TL892 changer at firmware revision 05.14. The driver of the SCSI card that the changer is attached to is a Symbios driver...
I generally just use the Server RAID CD to create the RAID sets and then install the OS. After that I generaly use the Serverguide and\or Update express CD along to install the drivers.
There is an issue with firmware compatibility on IBM servers. The issue centres around replacement disks...
Have a win2k server attched to a SAN. Due to the limitations of the LUNS that can be created on the SAN the customer decided to use dynamic disks and stripe across the LUNS.
Now they want to build a new server to replace the win2k one, a 2003 server. Is there any way that the dynamic disks...
The nodes have to be domain members rather than workgroup memebers as I'm sure that the account used for the cluster service has to have domain admin rights.
I guess you are doing a manual build of the OS, so the max size of the C drive is 4095MB which can be either FAT or NTFS (pros and cons to either).
There should be no problem with having a 10GB D drive.
What is the message in the Blue Screen?? I suspect that it is something along the line of...
The RSA card was flashed and there is no option on the CD to set the password. I have set the password on other servers by pressing F1 on boot and going in to the BIOS, you get two password options and one of them is the remote password for the RSA card.
You are gonna have to implement a new 2000 Active Directory, unless you just add the 2000 server to your current domain as a member server. You can't have a mixed DC's if your domain is NT 4, where in AD you can.
If you just want the data of the PC, why not take a ghost image and then use Ghost Explorer to browse the image file and copy the data that way. You can then do what you like with the PC.
You aren't gonna get anywhere with this until you have some shared disks.
