Script to look for certain files
My gut tells me that the * at the end is not being interpreted the way you want when setting/using the variable. Try putting the assignment value in quotes. When you run it with ls at the command line the shell is interpreting the * the way you want. -
Netscape Messenger 4.79 won't display message body
I am having a similar problem with Netscape 7.1 Messenger. Messenger comes up and lists the subject lines and in the box below the body of the selected msg. Except for some messages. I can click on msgs above or below and the bottom box will show the appropriate msg body. Click on the...- mrtex

How to determine if a file is open
You don't have to install anything to get to the AIX docs. They are available online. Try going to : http://techsupport.services.ibm.com/server/library and then scroll down. You should see links for 4.3, 5.1 and 5.2 docs.
