Yup - the control panel settings are as you say, and the only language I have selected in the Lanaguage settings wizard is English (UK)

Well... I found the program you were referring to, made the changes, and yet am still confronted by Dutch.. This does not bode well.

Hello again! I've just been asked what a couple of files are - one is called plugin142-01.trace, and on one profile it won't open - but on the other it's called an SDF file and is rather large. What is it? Can I delete it? Where did it come from?

'lo all, I have a computer running XP (1.21Ghz Duron processor, 256MB RAM) which suffers from a delay when you try to execute any programs. This only happens when you first boot up XP, but the delay until the programs open can be minutes - there's very little running at the start up of XP...

Ignore the above. I used the remote desktop connection to connect to the computers IP address. All is well in the world.
