If I'm reading correctly your DLT is installed in your server. BE 9 should be installed on the server that either has the backup device installed or attached externally. Server hangs on reboot.
I would disable the Backupexec services to get the server come up then check the device manager for the scsi and tape devices to see if there are indication of problems with those devices or drivers. You may want to try and load\reload the latest Veritas device drivers. It sounds like the...- MRod
