    Thanks Jay, We also have an intermittant hang problem with cached mode... I pretty much gave up on the Old Icon issue. Time is too valuable to waste it on icon color..lol MIKE

    I have done a fresh install (not upgrade) of Windows 2000SP4 and Office 2003 and still the same results. I haven't tried this with XP.

    I am still not finding any answers. My guess is it has something to do with Windows 2000. Do you have this problem in XPSP1?

    Thanks for the reply! For Outlook 2003 the desktop and Quick launch icons are the correct icons (Orange/Yellow color). When Outlook 2003 is open the icon in the Taskbar is Brown (The same icon from Outlook 2000). Outlook 2003 still works fine but it is a cosmetic issue....
