FWIW its an older SOE version of IP Office. vmpro box blew up and just loaded their existing software back up on a new box. IP address is set to the right IP, and its working on some levels. I can record greetings for each extension, leave and check messages etc.
But nothing in the modules...
It is, and I've retyped it a dozen times... restarted the vmpro box multiple times.. I've no expert at these beasts but I've setup a few of them here and there and never had issues like this. Gonna drive me to drink..
So disregarding the previous post, I'm still fighting with this dang vm pro box.
Very simple setup, added a module for the auto attendant and set it as the destination in the incoming call routes. Easy Peasy, at least I would think... No matter what I do, all I get is a "welcome to IP...
Hey guys,
Trying to get a crashed vm pro going again and need to record prompts for the auto attendant.
When I try and record (from the handset) the phone rings, the voice says record at the tone and I start talking. When done though, it creates the file with that name but the time shows 0.0...
Thanks but I didn't add a second PRI, just the extensions (024 card) and the DID's are working for the previous extensions but not the new ones... they just ring thru to the receptionist..
Thanks guys, finally got around to doing this and went off without a hitch... with one exception.. Incoming lines are a PRI with a main number, and then DID's with the last four matching the extension number, the DID's are not working on the new extensions so I'm sure there must be something...
Hey Everyone,
I deal primarily with the networking side of things and my phone system experience is mostly IP Office and Asterisk solutions... I have a family member's office with a Merlin Magix that I helped them with many years ago... Now they need to do some expansion and I have a few...
We have had only one issue, but its a serious one. Terrible noise/hum on the lines when calling out of the office. Internal calls are fine. We have done all that Avaya has suggested including replacing the power supply with a grounded one, using the gateway tuner to turn the comfort noise all...
Hi Guys, just set these up for a buddy. Amazingly easy to configure and work great except...
There is a lot of hum on the lines. Avaya's website says to change to a poe source or grounded power supply (did that, made no difference) and then to upgrade the firmware on the gateway and run the QE...
Anyone played with these yet? They look like a great solution for the smaller office, have a friend interested, but I have yet to talk with anyone who has actually used it.
Hi guys, first I want to say thanks, everyone here is really helpful.
Problem, running an SOE with 3.0.59 and VM Pro, I have two virtual users/extensions. If they call in after hours when the auto attendant picks up and then dial their extension and go through the normal steps to retrieve...
Hi Guys, probably something stupid I am missing here. Calls originally came into receptionist, if she was on a call and a second call came in it rang once and gave the little bell indication on the second CA. Changed things so that the receptionist is in a group by herself group, group then goes...
