I have been using the Crystal Reports ActiveX OCX for the last couple of years. This OCX has not been upgraded for at least 2 versions of Crystal Reports.
Has anyone used the Crystal RDC on an Access form. Is there any pdf or other documentation that specifically references this combination...
My PC has a CD-RW and Drive Image will let me save to CD's. Where it gets fuzzy is the restore. I don't understand what you mean when you write
"you can restore xp's boot partition (copy ntldr, ntdetect.com & boot.ini to it, run recovery console - fixboot command)."
Can you give me...
I have a PC with a 40 gig hd and Windows XP Home installed. The Partition was corrupted by a virus. The partition was so badly damaged that at first Partition Magic 8 was not able to create a second partition to re-install Windows XP. I needed to keep the damaged partition around to retrieve...
I created a Parameter in CR 8.5 (string) that accepts multiple values. I'm using Access 2000 with the OCX to pass values as a parameter. I have no problem with a listbox in the Access form that has a Multi Select property equal to None. When I change the value to simple or extended, the Crystal...

The application is EasyLender a Mortgage Pipeline product by Fiserv. Their Tech support people have told me they don't support the mscal.ocx found in Office XP (10) and have asked me to uninstall XP and re-install Office 2000. I am trying to figure out if I can do this only for Access which is...
I have an application that will not run with Access 2002 on the PC (mscal.ocx mismatch). The vendor has suggest that I uninstall, Office XP and install Office 2000. Rather than lose some of the new features in XP is it possible to uninstall Access 2002 and install Access 2000 in a different...
I am an applications programmer who got a new Win 2K Server on which to create an Intranet. I decided that I would use Sharepoint Team Services. The server was pre-installed with SQL Server 2000, IIS 5.0 and Sharepoint Services, all in the C:\ directory. I have two 40 gig drives, all under NTFS...
I was wondering if the two different Web services can run on the same server. Has anyone heard about pricing - if I own a CE 8 processor license can I also use it for .NET without it costing more?
I am doing a committee roster with 3 columns per page. The name and address information can vary in length depending on the number of address lines for each person. There is grouping within the roster (executive board, members, honorary members etc.) which prints. I want to avoid having an...
My problem is that the rectangle has to surround multiple names (from 4 - 6 variable) and the box can be different sizes. The only commonality is that the box has to surround all the details within a group (from header to footer) spanning many sections.
I will also have to compress blank detail...
I understand what what you mean and eventually, I may have to do this. Right now I have been asked to duplicate, as closely as possible, a hardcopy report that uses the box as the way of highlighting the names/addresses.
I did see a reference to using the RDC as a technique for controlling the...
Not from Access directly, but since you must have Crystal reports installed on the PC, once you have the report opened, you can manipulate the report directly in Crystal, which is not usually what the developer wants to have happen.
You can either call the Crystal Report directly or embed the CR OCX object into the form and program to it.
If you Call the Crystal Report exe directly with the report name as the parameter, the user must have CR installed on their PC.
If you use the OCX you need to reference Crystal's...
