Thanks Noway2
I kind of expected this to be the case.
I did as you suggested and used vi to edit nd removed the line from the fstab config and it boots up fine.
I'm not particularly up to speed on Linux, so was hoping for a last known good option. At least I know now not to let developers...
Help !!
We have a Red Hat enterprise instance, but wished to add some iSCSI storage from our SAN to it.
Now it was all going fine until some muppett tried to set up some iSCSCi storage in LVM, then ticked the box to mount at startup.
Since then, booting the system results in the error 'An...
We have a simple router configuration but are planning to run our own Exchange server behind an ISA 2004 firewall.
Currently we have two static ip addresses from our broadband provider:
xxx.xxx.xxx.161/29 for the router external interface
xxx.xxx.xxx.160 - currently not in use.
Router internal...
Hi Lee,
Thanks for the comment - Like you, I think it's relatively easy to bypass virtually any security that stuff like EncryptWeb can do. My feeling is though that most pro's wouldn't need to rip off a site anyway as they can probably replicate it without breaking a sweat.
From a customer...
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'm getting a bit paranoid, but I did have somebody rip off a site I did a few months ago, and even found a modified version of it on a free css site.
I'm frankly not concerned if somebody wanted to copy my own site, but this particular site I'd charged to...
I've been checking my host stats and have noticed that just recently I've got some hits in the 'by browser' section from Acrobat Web Capture, with the grabber showing 'yes'.
I'm not sure what is being grabbed here - could it be the whole site that some rascal is attempting to steal or copy...
I have to say that I would think twice before going down this road - mail's simply too important to risk getting blacklisted or blocked.
Have you thought about something like VerticalResponse or Shortburst ? Although both are subscription based, they're pretty cheap, you can manage your lists...
I'm afraid you have to tell your user, it's a feature and he'll have to live with it..
I can't see what his objection is though as it's just as quick to look up a contact as open a distribution list and select one contact..Probably if he has set up a list with 50 or so mail addresses it's a bit...
Have you considered SpamTitan ? I have a similar setup to you as far as pleading for financial resources is concerned, so I looked at putting in my own hardware solution based around SpamTitan.
The upside of this is that if you have any old PC boxes laying around doing nothing the linux based...
If you want to migrate CALs as well then the best option would be to look at the Transition Pack from Microsoft.
It's qute a complex thing to accomplish and it depends on the size of the domain as to whether its an economically viable process.
Last time I did it there were issues with IE7, but...
One of our remote users is having problems with some mails showing what appears to be misformed html or xml code.
It usually starts with '+/v8APAAh-DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC +ACI--//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN+ACIAPg- +ADw-HTML xmlns+AD0AIg-http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40+ACI-.
It looks like...
I'm trying to move a customer from a single server SBS2003 SP1 to multiple machine Server 2003 using the Transition pack to preserve licenses - we need to go this way because they are right on the 75 limit.
Running the upgrade to SBS2003 SP1 standard to include premium technologies has gone OK...
If it's a bettery issue, then the system should at least boot to the BIOS settings - usually you have to press the F2 or Del key depending on your system to get into the settings screens.
You can replace the battery if you want, but it's probably better at this point to leave it plugged in and...
I think basically you're stuffed on this one - it's far too risky to attempt this sort of thing on a production server especially if it's a domain controller.
You don't say if you have other servers available on our network. If you have and this server is not a domain controller then you're far...
