just simply rename the messenger folder to anything else,but make sure messenger is off.If you can't turn off messenger in windows then do it in safemode then rename.

You might want to look at the ram,it can sometimes have that effect.

try the bios setting for usb , you might have to tweak your units bios to recognize usb on boot

HP with Home xp os I assume. You are going to have a hard time because that system is configured to run on that HP model.Try a bootover repair with xp home cd.

Try the jumper for the ram,that will lower the fsb frequency.900 mhz don't have a high fsb frequency. I have 3 asrocks MB and they are very picky about the fsb.

Go into safemode while on your new monitor. start...right click my computer....manage....device manager...display adapter...unistall...reboot. It should now reinstall the display to match your monitor.

I had the same thing happen to me only it was my primary HD I thought maybe it might have a bad power connection , so I switched to the connection my slave had . I no longer use that connection because then my slave HD started doing the samething on that connection .

does the bios recognize the drives you specified?has it always done this ? have you installed any burning software? some burning software can cause windows lose some drivers and become glitchy.

Try only the new ram and pull all your cards out ,even your modem just to make sure you don't have a bad piece of hardware.

Do you have onboard lan ,if so try to disable it to see if it is having a conflict.I've had to this to my system also had to remove my modem ( motherboard issue )as long as I run it this way it's fine. run as few cards as you can to find out where your conflict is.
