You may find some help on the MS site, looking at KB article 303728 - The path is http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=303728 I am having the same problem with a user on my network, and am sure it is a piece of sh*t spyware or adware program. Ad-Aware has not been able to fix the problem...- mkeeney

Thanks Rik, My %systemroot% is correct, but I am attempting to restore a dual-processor machine to a uni-processor, so that is probably my problem. Restoring to System with Different Hardware - V7.0 for NT 4.0
Am attempting to create a disaster recovery plan for our firm. I have had no success restoring my current backup to a new server using the method described in the documentation(BSOD every time). Are there other issues of which I am not aware?- mkeeney
